About Kelly
I am a wedding and engagement photographer offering organic and thoughtful images while doubling as a friend. My process involves first and foremost sitting down for a cup of coffee or cocktail with you before diving into work - and even when we do get there, my hope is that "the work” feels much more like a spontaneous evening out than a slot in my calendar.
ON THE CLOCK
In one of my elementary school yearbooks, I claimed I wanted to be a “writer and a drawer” - I stuck to my word from all those years ago and am an arts-and-crafts lady at heart. A journalist by day and a photographer by nights and weekends, I to-this-day feel the most wide-eyed when I get to observe and document other people.
On your biggest and most sentimental days I am going to be attentive to you. After working at weddings for seven years, I know the big things to look for and promise to catch them. The best galleries are full of nuance! My work instead has a subtlety today, scanning for grandma grabbing tissues from her purse stash during the ceremony or your partner clasping your hand in a quiet moment in between dinner and dessert.
OFF THE CLOCK
Catch me trying to do the Los Angeles Times crossword every day even though I can realistically only make it to Thursday’s without help. I am a big reader and an avid watcher of Love is Blind and Survivor. Doing my best to revive my childhood love of scrapbooking! In 2025, I gave birth to my best friend: our daughter, Bea! I love the title of mom. Huge night owl, newlywed, mid-century lover. I like going to museums and historic homes, thrift-and-antique shopping and seeing movies with my husband, Nick.
My mom put so much effort into documenting our lives on a number of different cameras. I love being able to see one of the last generations of childhood shot this way - so even when I’m not whipping up work I like bringing my little point-and-shoot around with me on a search for beauty.
