Frequently Asked Questions

01

When do we sign a contract?

After you’ve inquired with me and let me know you’re ready to work together, I’ll draw you up a personalized contract detailing your day and costs associated with it. You’ll have the freedom to read that at your own pace and get back to me with any questions before signing. To be fair: I will let you know if another inquiry for your date has popped up!

02

How much will we need to put down for a deposit?

Deposits for weddings are 40% of your total price - this value obviously varies depending on which package you’ve selected! The due date for deposits is 14 days after you’ve signed your contract. As much as I want to accommodate everybody, your wedding date isn’t secured in my calendar until you’ve paid the deposit and emailed your contract!

03

How should we go about engagement photos?

Documentary > everything else - my philosophy for these sessions is the more it feels like a date you would actually go on, the better. Write down a couple of places nearby to each other you would spend a morning or evening at, then send it my way. It can be as simple as shopping for groceries and cooking dinner or having a glass of wine before a movie. Comfortability is everything, and I feel like people end up cherishing their gallery in a different way when you have a hand in how it appears.

04

How long will it take to get our gallery back?

Portrait and engagement galleries have a maximum turnaround time of three weeks post-shoot. Wedding galleries depend on the number of hours of coverage you’ve got me around for! Their maximum turnaround time is two months post-event, barring additional pieces in your package (for example: rehearsal dinner photos) Every year, my business has grown and given me more opportunities to be alongside you - with that being said, I also have a part-time job with Ohio Magazine that I spend three days a week at. No matter what, I want to make sure there’s still that honeymoon feeling when they’re delivered to you.

05

Will you travel for my wedding or session?

Always - this is something that I would love to being doing as frequently as time allows! Additional costs are airfare, lodging and a rental car on my end - these will be added to the total in your contract. We’ll touch base on pricing together before I book anything to make sure I’m planning something in line with your budget. Coming to your turf or traveling somewhere with you makes my heart brim.

06

Can you recommend other vendors to us?

Absolutely yes - I have loved getting to know and meet industry people over the past few years whose hearts are in the right place. I know how overwhelming wedding planning can feel. Rest assured there are professionals out there who bring their best to the table every single time and will do anything they can to show up creatively.

07

We wanna do something out of the box - is that okay?

If you’ve read this far, you probably know what my answer is going to be: ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. Whether it’s something as simple as skipping a tradition — or adding a new one — into your ceremony or something as complex as scouting nontraditional locations to hold your wedding: rest assured. I want to do this with you! That being said: I have a portfolio of primarily non-denominational Christian, Catholic, Jewish and non-descript ceremonies. If you are part of a different faith tradition (and for that matter race, gender identity, culture, sexual orientation, etc.) know you are welcome in my business. I already care for you so much and I can’t wait to see the work we can make together.
